About the Program

Seyfarth’s Pioneers and Pathfinders virtual roundtable series has tackled critical topics intended to help our clients navigate the implications of generative AI and natural language processing models in the legal industry. Our first roundtable covered the risks and benefits of generative AI, the second addressed the AI technology landscape and implementation strategies, and our third explored the technology’s potential in lawyer development.

As the technology continues to expand, the implications for company strategy and planning become ever more significant. In our fourth installment, our expert panel will focus on the company boardroom and how boards of directors can successfully navigate the high-stakes leadership decisions that are flowing from the rise of generative artificial intelligence as a strategically transformative business topic. We will look at the issues from both the perspective of board members, as well as key management stakeholders executing on company strategy.

In addition to the key strategy issues that boards are grappling with, the roundtable will also look at board considerations related to talent and expertise, risk oversight, and more. Key questions we’ll address will include:

  • How should boards be thinking about the careful balancing act between the opportunities that generative AI can bring with its risks and implications on managing people?
  • How, if at all, does the rise of AI change the composition and/or role of the board? What’s its implication on board training and education?
  • What can boards do to get the AI discussion right with their management teams? And how can boards control the AI conversation so that it’s neither minimized nor disproportionately loud?
  • What are the most important talent considerations that should be at the forefront of board members’ minds?
  • What should boards be expecting management to be doing right now, or have already done, related to generative AI?
  • What should management be doing to assist boards in the execution of their responsibilities?

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from industry leaders and become a pioneer at the forefront of the profession’s evolution—we invite you to register your attendance.
